Lauren P. Sugita

A bi-continental entrepreneur and cultural anthropologist, Lauren Pearlman Sugita does more than sell the paper imported and distributed through PAPER CONNECTION INTERNATIONAL, LLC: she tells the story of the maker and matches buyers, from artists and designers to museums and manufacturers, with the right product for their project. Since her commute began, decades ago, between RI and Asia, Lauren has shared her knowledge and expertise via teaching work- shops, with the goal of preserving the art and traditions of handmade paper.
