The annual Fourth of July parade will begin at 10:30am at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 144) in Bristol. It will continue down Hope Street for just under two miles before turning onto High Street and continuing for another half mile to the finish between State Street and Branford Street. Hope Street – including Poppasquash Road – will be closed beginning at 8am on July 4th, while Chestnut Street, Naomi Street and Sherry Avenue will be closed beginning at 7am. Traffic will be detoured to Route 136 and a parking ban will be in effect beginning on the evening of July 3.
