Creating harmony in your home doesn’t have to be a daunting task – Organized Abode is ready to come to the rescue for decluttering projects big and small.
“I started the business to help anyone achieve organization and balance in their homes to better align with their lifestyles,” explains Organized Abode owner Lisa Burtt of the Westerly-based full-service business traveling to homes all over the state, as well as Connecticut and Massachusetts. A working mom in a challenging career, Lisa was motivated by her personal experience of needing to carve out a calming retreat from the stress and demands of everyday life in her own home.
The solution for Lisa was to simplify. “Everyone has a different vision of what organization means for their families and lifestyle – we are here to support, not to judge," she says. Organized Abode focuses on forming one-on-one relationships with each of their clients to get to know their individual goals. “It all starts with an initial free consultation to determine what the client would like to tackle and assess their needs. We offer flexibility and adapt our services to meet their requirements, in addition to offering and providing storage solutions and options.”
From there, Lisa takes a look at the room in question – whether it’s the kitchen, bathroom, closets, garage, or other areas – and creates an action plan. Does the client need the most help with sorting, consolidating, or organizing? What belongings can be parted with, and what needs to be accessible? Organized Abode’s process includes sorting like items, as well as establishing storage needs and creating a system clients can maintain with ease well into the future.
“We make the process easy to complete and to maintain. We also remove any items the clients no longer want and deliver them to a charity of their choice,” says Lisa. “Many of our customers say they started as a client but finished as a friend.”
