Bluewater Bar + Grill joined the exciting East Bay dining scene in 2011 with a fresh take on contemporary dining. Chef-owner Brian Thimme, a culinary professional with more than 20 years of experience, envisioned a restaurant that combined his passion for locally sourced foods with his love of family. “Our focus is seasonally-inspired, simply prepared cuisine,” says Brian, who co-owns the restaurant along with his wife Elizabeth. “It’s an everyday neighborhood restaurant where everyone is welcome, yet we offer upscale food and service at affordable prices.”
The expansive restaurant, which is nestled near the Barrington Yacht Club on the Tyler Point Peninsula, offers gorgeous waterfront views. Open year-round for dinner seven nights a week and seasonally for lunch Thursday through Sunday, Bluewater features New England and American farm-to-table classics. “Our menu changes as the seasons do,” Brian says. “We keep our core favorites on the menu all year, and make additions as farm fresh produce becomes available.” Seafood, housemade pasta, sandwiches, grilled pizza, free-range chicken entrees and steak are highlights. Appetizers range from classic Point Judith Calamari and Prince Edward Island Mussels to the creative Edamame Cakes and Fried Tuna Rolls. Warm and inviting, Bluewater’s veteran staff aims to make each visit memorable. “Our staff is like family and we treat guests the same,” he adds.

Live and Local: Bluewater Bar + Grill features live entertainment by local favorites Saturday and Sunday evenings (available on the patio during the summer).
Custom Events and Catering: With sweeping waterfront views and intimate private spaces, the restaurant is ideal for showers, parties and corporate functions. Offsite catering is also available.
