Linden Place’s second-annual “Night at the Mansion Halloween Haunt” returns on Thursday, October 27th, from 7 pm to 10 pm. In addition to ghostly candlelit tours of the storied manse and grounds that have entertained four presidents and was featured in “The Great Gatsby,” costumed celebrants will be invited to dance the evening away in the ballroom, listen to live entertainment, marvel at a world-renowned mentalist, win prizes, while indulging in adult beverages at the cash bar and more. “Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore,” says Susan Battle, executive director. “What better place than a 212-year-old mansion for a night of spooky fun? After the popularity of 2021’s event, we had to bring back the party to Linden Place and make it even more exciting.” One of the highlights anticipated to make this year’s event special is the inclusion of Las Vegas headliner George Saterial. An award-winning mentalist famous for his ability to read minds, Saterial will perform an interactive magic show. Added attractions include the telling of real-life ghost stories from Bristol’s past, as well as a séance in the Victorian dining room, where one of the home’s famous former occupants, Ethel Barrymore, may be summoned. Celebrants will be welcomed to stroll through the spooky gardens on their way to the ballroom, where in between dances they can have personal tarot card readings. Intended for those ages 18 and up, costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $55 ($50 for Linden Place members).
