Join RISD Continuing Education instructor Anna McNeary to explore linocut printing – an accessible and fast relief-based printmaking process in which a block is made by carving away areas; the parts that remain are then inked, and the block is applied to paper. In this 3-hour workshop you’ll be shown how to transfer a simple image to the block using simple inking methods. You’ll leave class with having learned a versatile and portable approach to the printmaking medium that lends itself to working without a press. No experience necessary.
