“Soft Belly" Pop-Up Performance Takes Center Stage in Providence

Pop-up experiences, now a cultural phenomenon, enchant enthusiasts with their exclusive, limited-time offerings, fostering an atmosphere of urgency and exclusivity. This weekend, Pawtucket-based Dugway Theater brings a captivating experience to AS220 Black Box in Providence with a series of pop-up performances presenting Soft Belly, written by Lily Mathews and co-created with local musicians and performers including Adam Kotin, Aly Frank, Kate Teichman, Max Mathews, and Spencer Curry. The play, featuring original film and live musical accompaniment and starring Teichman, actively involves the audience in conveying a message, bordering on a warning. Following its Providence Fringe Festival debut, this original production is set for encore performances on November 17 and 18 at 7:30pm.
