A boozy twist on a Rhode Island classic

It goes without saying, the summer months in Rhode Island can get HOT. When the temperature and the humidity is high, there’s no better way to stay cool than spiking your drink to create what we’ve dubbed a Del’s Mojito. Minty, sweet, and cold, this refresher will take fun in the sun to the next level. We’ve taken a Rhode Island classic and added a boozy twist.

 

Rhody Mojito 

*Makes 1 drink

Ingredients:

 

Directions:
1. In a blender, combine the frozen lemonade and rum and blend until liquor and lemonade is combined, but does not become too melted.

2. While the frozen lemonade and rum blendstogether, muddle the mint with a drink muddler or mortar and pestle to release the oils of the herb.

3. Combine the muddled mint and lemonade mixture in a tall glass, stir, and garnish with a mint top and lemon wedge on the side.
