Author Marjory Gomez O’Toole will be present for the second official Brick Market Book Club meeting for an interesting discussion on the book, If Jane Should Want to be Sold: Stories of Enslavement, Indenture, and Freedom in Little Compton, Rhode Island. O’Toole researched this book using primary sources to tell the stories of dozens of enslaved, indentured, and free people of color who lived in Little Compton from 1674 – 1816.
