Art League Rhode Island (“ALRI”) presents its 18th Annual Elected Artists Exhibition beginning September 20, 2018 with an opening reception from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Jamestown Arts Center, Jamestown, RI. The exhibition, representing exceptional original works in all types of art media, runs through October 20, 2018.
Founded in 2000 by Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, who invited 40 other known artists to join her as founding members, ALRI is now composed of emerging and nationally recognized artists and supporters working in all visual mediums and a broad collection of contemporary and traditional art forms. Together with many community partners, ALRI offers opportunities for the development and growth of artists. Providing powerful exhibitions and programs, month after month, ALRI brings art to the public, engages the community, and delivers life-enriching experiences. ALRI has partnered with local art museums, RISD, Rhode Island College, The VETS Foundation, Providence Art Club, New England Foundation for the Arts, and many other artistic, educational, and philanthropic organizations.
