During COVID-19 TGIF may have lost some of its luster but hey, a weekend is a weekend after all and resourceful Rhode Island venues are still putting together plans. Here are some of our favorite things coming up this weekend, no contact tracing required.

April 3: Today through April 9 the United Theatre hosts a Virtual Screening Room, showing the film The Wild Goose Lake from acclaimed director Diao Yinan. $12. Visit United Theatre to register.

April 4: Comic Cons stop for no COVID! Saturday at 11am, find a showcase of pop culture collectibles, graded rare comic books, Japanese robots, tin toys and more at the Online Spring Comic Book & Toy Auction

April 4: Saturday at 10am give virtual boot camp a go. Get details on signing up and raising funds for the Jonnycake Center. South County Adventure Boot Camp.
