Breathe and Brew at Brutopia Brewery
This weekend, the American Lung Association is partnering with Brutopia Brewery in Cranston in order to deliver the yoga experience to beer lovers. The event, titled “Breathe and Brew,” is a 60 minute experience taught by Laughing Elephant Yoga’s Debbie Vaois. After yoga, attendees will be able to score some complimentary appetizers and one pint of a beverage of your choice. Dress comfy, bring your own mat and prepare to drink and stretch. Godspell at the Stadium Theater

Brad Williams at the Comedy Connection
Brad Williams is an accomplished comedian who has appeared on Mind of Mencia, Live at Gotham, the Tonight Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live, and this weekend he will be appearing at the Comedy Connection in East Providence. Brad Williams uses his comedy in order to talk about disability, relationships, sex and race. Geraldine Brooks on The Secret Chord
This Friday, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Geraldine Brooks will be at the Providence Athenaeum in order to discuss her new novel, The Secret Chord. Previously, Brooks won a Pulitzer Prize for her second novel, March, two of her novels were New York Times best sellers, and her first novel, Year of Wonders is an international best seller and might be in the process of being adapted into a major motion picture.
