Rhode Island Comic Con

The biggest con in the smallest state is back and they’re expecting 60,000 people to fill the Dunkin Donuts Center and the neighboring Rhode Island Convention Center. Who’s on the menu this year? How about several cast members of Star Trek, Star Wars and The Walking Dead. They’ve got WWE wrestlers, Playboy Playmates, The Fonz, the original Buffy. Plus Princess Leia herself will be making a royal appearance.

Pre-Vival!/Revival! – Columbus Theatre
The Columbus celebrate three years since it reopened its doors with two nights of great performances. Roz and the Rice Cakes, Tall Tall Trees and Cannibal Ramblers get the party started on Friday night. Saturday’s stacked lineup will feature The Low Anthem, Vudu Sister, Screaming Females, Kishi Bashi and the debut of The Huntress, the new solo project from Brown Bird’s MorganEve Swain.

Orlando Jones at the Comedy Connection
Actor and Comedian Orlando Jones will be headlining at the Comedy Connection in East Providence. you might remember him from roles in The Replacements, Office Space and as a cast member on MadTV. Most recently he could be seen as Captain Frank Irving on Fox’s Sleepy Hollow.
