Black Friday is just around the corner, but you won’t want to miss what Saturday has in store: Holiday strolls, festivities, and tree lightings backdrop small business shopping in your favorite pockets of Rhode Island. Come out for unique finds to surprise even the toughest people to shop for on your list and support local! From Thanksgiving through January 1, enjoy free holiday parking on select streets in Providence for a painless shopping experience.

 

With free activities and visits with Santa for the kids, raffles to win tree and wreath displays, and a Holiday Marketplace featuring over 80 vendors and artisans, the 6th Annual Fez-tival of Trees is a one-stop spot for everything holiday on Saturday and Sunday. 

CCRI is holding their 29th Annual Holiday Crafts Festival on Friday and Saturday, hosting more than 100 Ocean State artisans selling handcrafted and unique gifts.

A full schedule of carolers, Circus Dynamics, historic tours, a visit from Santa, and more are planned for the 31st Annual Warren Holiday Festival! While you’re in town indulging in merriment, stop by the shops on and around Main Street. Warren, WarrenHolidayFestival.com

Find pottery, ornaments, jewelry, and other artwork at the 49th Annual Holiday Pottery and Art Sale presented by South County Art Association. Visit during gallery hours this weekend or later in the month, through December 21.  

The Annual Holiday Vendor Fair at The Gym LLC will have several vendors on hand for your holiday shopping needs, from well-known brands like Touchstone Jewelry, Zyia Active clothing, and Purhaven Essentials to trendy local art vendors. 

Retreat from the mainland for a low-key shopping experience with the Block Island Holiday Shopping Stroll Weekend (November 29-December 1). Local retailers are offering great deals, and you can see festive decorations, including the Lobster Pot Tree.

Shop local with the Brown & Hopkins country store. Two floors full of festive gifts and fine primitive wares…and Bloody Mary’s served to make your shopping experience even more cheery! 

InDowncity is hosting its annual holiday block party, Celebrate Downcity! Kick off holiday shopping on Small Business Saturday while also enjoying local food vendors and bars, six color-themed photo booths for selfies, activities with Providence Children’s Museum, and free photos with Santa. 

Christmas Coates Annual Holiday Party will feature hundreds of ornaments, gifts, and a wreath pop-up show by Greenlion. Open house all day, party at 6pm!

Foster Country Club is hosting Christmas in the Valley, a juried holiday craft show with shopping and raffles Friday-Sunday. Local exhibitors will have their wares on display, and entertainment will keep the mood merry. 

Shop travel, lifestyle, and fashion brands at Gurney’s Holiday Market this weekend (and every weekend through December 22!) to find those perfect holiday gifts. 

Shop the stores of Wayland Square while enjoying their Holiday Kick Off, with activities for kids and adults, including caroling, a visit from Santa, and a tree lighting.

The second floor of 30 Cutler Street in Warren will house dozens of local artisans selling a variety of handmade finds in almost every medium. Their Holiday Sale will kickoff on Saturday and continue into Sunday. 

The Newport Gallery Organization is working with Shop Small to highlight some local galleries with one-of-a-kind finds. Help the Newport art scene thrive and snag some great gifts while you’re in town! 

Showcasing over 100 Rhode Island individuals with disabilities, small businesses, and vendors, Small Business Saturday Shop RI features entrepreneurs, artists, veterans, minority-owned businesses, and more all under one roof from 9am-4pm. 

Wickford Art Association’s Small Works Holiday Show and Sale offers smaller-sized original artwork, affordably priced, for truly unique gifts to loved ones. The show will be on display through December 24. 

Explore what the community has to offer at the WaterFire Holiday Art & Craft Festival. Browse local vendors and artists selling their wares, with live music and food on hand.
