Red Stripe is a charming neighborhood restaurant that serves refined comfort food in a relaxed setting. The cozy bistro opened two years ago on bustling Main Street – and nine years after opening its wildly popular first location on the East Side of Providence. Featuring the same remarkable menu and impeccable service, Red Stripe East Greenwich is one of the most exciting recent dining additions to the historic downtown area.

In true brasserie style, the eatery is a convivial spot where the bar is located right in the middle of the restaurant, creating a buzz and energy level that permeates the space. Large windows that open to the sidewalk offer diners a unique open-air dining experience in the warmer months.

Traditional Brasserie with an Edge

The menu here features dishes typically found in a traditional French brasserie such as steak frites, moules (mussels) and short rib Bourguignon. They’re especially known for their award-winning frites, thin and crispy fries that are served on the side of many dishes. American and Rhode Island favorites like hand-packed burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, salads, calamari, grilled seafood and pasta round out a diverse menu that appeals to many tastes.
