Finding a special spot that provides not only delicious food and a good time, but an interesting atmosphere as well, can be an unending mission. Lucky for us, sitting right on Broadway in Providence's lively West Side neighborhood is a restaurant that’s been exciting and impressing visitors for over two decades: Julian’s.

There are so many aspects to Julian’s that makes it such a special place for so many people. Walking in the front door is like stepping into your comfort zone. The walls are lined with objects reminiscent of any American’s childhood, complete with display cases of Pez dispensers and classic Star Wars figurines. There’s even classic cartoons playing on a TV in the bathrooms.

It’s been said that breakfast (or brunch) is the most important meal of the day, and Julian’s knows a thing or two about making delectable morning dishes. Chow down on their Monster French Toast, served with real maple syrup, or the “Nova Scotia”, which is eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Other options include pancakes, omelets (you can even build your own), hashes, plus sandwiches, salads, and sides. Omnivores will love the Steak & Mild Cheddar Wrap, a tortilla filled with steak strips, crimini mushroom, red onions, and sour cream, while Vegans will appreciate the Vegan “Steak & Cheese” Wrap, which is house made seitan, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and soy cheese in a flour tortilla.

The plentiful Vegan options, as well as meat-lover selections, continue on the dinner menu. Among the many distinctive meals are great spreads such as the Sticky Asian-Style Country Pork Rib with chili-laced broccoli rave, soy-pumpkin seed lentils, and pan jus, plus the Green Curry Encrusted Cauliflower Florets, another Vegan meal with cinnamon roasted chestnuts and fingerling potatoes, daikon radish-gala apple slaw, and saffron-tofu sauce. Also on the dinner menu are similar salads and sandwiches to the brunch menu.

Top any meal off with an array of scrumptious desserts—even award winning housemade ice cream, with changing flavors every week. Have your pick of mouthwatering desserts, like the Brûléed Pumpkin-Brandy Cheesecake, a layered cheesecake & brandy crème brûlée with spiced brown sugar pine nut shortbread.

At the bar sits a selection like no other; the expertly curated and award-winning craft beer program has many rare, highly sought after draft imports along side local flavors and all around classic brews. Visitors have their pick of signature cocktails that will arouse their senses, like the Broadway Black Manhattan, which is made with Old Overholt Rye, Luxardo Mareschino, Averna, Aperol, and scorched orange peel. Both the wine and liquor menus aim to please as well.

Insider Tip: Take Julian’s with you to any party or special occasion. They offer catering, and can even show up to your event in the Omnibus, a British double-decker bus converted into its very own dining experience. Plus, there’s a custom made Smoker that can deliver Southern-style smoked food fresh to your event.
