Cocktails and Conversations Feminist Youth Voices

Posted by dhabib

Women’s Fund of Rhode Island’s popular Cocktails and Conversations series is back with another forum on September 26 at the STEAM Hub for Girls in Lincoln School (301 Butler Ave. Providence, RI 02906) from 6–8 p.m. Cocktails & Conversations is a networking event that includes a themed panel discussion related to women’s equity. This month’s forum features high-school feminist youth talking about the equity challenges they see and how they approach solutions. The panel will be moderated by Lincoln School alumna and current Brown student Rose Lang-Maso ’16.

Women’s Fund of Rhode Island Officer Ellie Brown says, "These young women are already leaders and advocates for equity. Learn how our younger sisters are making change happen in their schools and beyond. They are both our future and major influencers in current social justice issues. Participants attending this event will come away inspired by their dedication and innovative ideas!”

This free event includes light bites and beverages. Registration opens at 6 p.m. The panel will start promptly at 6:15 pm. After the panel, there will be Q&A and breakout sessions to network and share insights from the talk. The event ends at 8 p.m. Individuals 14 and above are welcome to attend. This event is co-hosted by Lincoln School and sponsored by Bank Newport.
