Blithewold: Grown of Color and Shape by Kevin Mowrer

Posted by tcallanan

Kevin Mowrer is a creator whose work has spanned 40 years and many different media, and his digitally painted landscapes have been the most personal aspect of his life’s work. His love affair with Blithewold began 10 years ago. Well over 100 paintings later, the Blithewold series represents the first public showing of this intimate part of Kevin’s lifelong creative endeavors. “I felt Blithewold had a living voice and a story to tell. The language was the endless light, shapes, and color of its nature and structures. Each walk revealed another chapter in the stories planted here long ago. I wanted to create works that brought to life what I felt this remarkable place was saying.”
