August 2-4: Welcome August with the 65th Annual Newport Jazz Festival. Experience some of the best jazz musicians at Fort Adams State Park. 

August 2-4: Spend the weekend at Ninigret Park for the 35th Annual Charlestown Seafood Festival, where you can enjoy some of the best local seafood, listen to live music, watch fireworks, and much more! 

August 2-4: Enjoy a Shakespearean classic as the Colonial Theatre of Rhode Island presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream this weekend at Wilcox Park. Most mainstage shows will open with a variety of musical and theatrical performances, beginning at 6pm. 


August 2-31: Enjoy six local tastings and three cocktail pairs at Newport Neighborhood Food Tour. Learn about historical sites and Rhode Island architecture on a walk around the City by the Sea. 

August 3-4: Bring your pup to Dogapalooza 2019 at the Pawtucket Dog Park. This event features activities such as a canine costume contest, apple pie baking contest, pudding pie eating contest, live music, and food from local vendors. 

August 3: Following the ball game, enjoy superhero-themed fireworks and meet some of your favorite Avengers at Superhero Fireworks Night at McCoy Stadium. 

August 3: Come out to River Glow, where floating bonfires illuminate the Pawcatuck River. Featuring live music, fire jugglers and belly dancing, hay rides through town, henna and hair braiding, air brush tattoos, and face painting. 

August 3: Enjoy an array of delicious food trucks at Chase Farm for a Food Truck Concert Night. There will also be beer and wine courtesy of Trinity Brewhouse and Gooseneck Vineyards. 

August 3: Stroll Providence’s riverbank as WaterFire returns for another evening of gondola rides, carnival treats, and the scent of burning cedar logs. 

August 4: Head to Providence for the Federal Hill Culinary and History Tour, where you can sample local foods and experience the history of Providence’s Federal Hill, which dates back to 1886. 

August 4: Mulligan’s Island brings Nashville to Rhode Island with the Nashville, RI Music Festival. Listen to live country music from three bands and sample some traditional southern food and beverages. 

August 4: Friendly dogs and their families are welcomed at the Guild in Pawtucket for Pawchella to Benefit Vintage Pet Rescue. You and your best pal can enjoy music, dog friendly food vendors, and more! 

August 4: Every baseball game at McCoy Stadium is always family friendly, but on this Family Fun Day: Run the Bases, parents and kiddos can not only enjoy the game together, but can play catch and run around the bases before and after the game!
