July 5: Head on down to the RI Historical Society’s Concert Under the Elms at the John Brown House Lawn for a performance by The Duke Robillard Band and enjoy some pit-smoked BBQ eats by Bugg’d Out Barbecue, plus a pop-up exhibit related to the show. 

July 5: The All-American vibes keep going past July 4 at Ballard’s for Block Island Countryfest, a daylong festival of Southern music on the beach. 

July 6: Bring the whole family to Wakefield's Theatre By The Sea, and enoy a performance of the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty, in a Kaleidescope musical for all ages. 

July 6: There’s yoga, and then there’s Yoga in the Garden at Blithewold, when Bristol Yoga Studio holds outdoor classes under the trees at the waterfront mansion. 

July 6-7: Bring your appetite to the 2018 Ocean State BBQ Festival at the Steel Yard, and enjoy some deliciously local BBQ eats, local brews, and rock out to live music. 

July 7:  Don't forget your fancy hat and picnic blanket for the Newport International Polo Series, as the USA takes on Italy in a game of horsemanship on the Portsmouth polo grounds.

July 7-8: The Wickford Art Festival is back for a 57th year, and will gather over 200 artists from across the country to set up shop in Wickford Village and display works ranging from painting to jewelry to sculpture. 

July 8: Celebrate the culture of Cape Verde during the 43rd annual Cape Verdean Independence Festival at India Point Parkand enjoy a fun-filled day of Cape Verdean food, music, and dancing. 

July 8: Jam out to a sunset concert by the sea at the 2018 Summer Concert Series on Barrington Town Beachand enjoy performances by the Becky Chace Band and other talented local musicians. 

July 8-21: Providence Restaurant Weeks kicks off with deliciously affordable three-course menu offerings at eateries all over the city (and beyond).
