Taj Mahal headlines the Newport Blues & BBQ Festival on Saturday

There's plenty to accomplish this weekend, but don't worry, we've got your guide to fun summer activities all taken care of.

The South Coast Artists Open Studio Tour is happening this weekend, where you can visit the studios of some of the best artists living, working and exhibiting in the towns of Tiverton, Little Compton, Westport and Dartmouth. This self-guided tour features over 70 local artists, working in various mediums such as oils, acrylics, watercolors, sculpture, fiber arts, ceramics, glass, wood and metal.

Grab some locally grown fruits and vegetables at the Mount Hope Farmers Market, then enjoy a carriage ride from Commonwealth Farm & Carriage Co. When you are done with your market shopping, you can take a ride on a tour of the Mount Hope Farm and its trails, in fully decked-out period carriage and costume.

It's August, play outside. The 14th annual Newport Storm Luau is taking place at Fort Adams State Park on Saturday. Benefitting the Fort Adams trust, there will be a party with live music, a pig roast, polynesian dancers and of course, lots of Newport Storm beer.

Spend your Sunday evening in Newport with the ladies of the Providence Roller Derby at their only outdoor bout of the season. Providence's own the Old Money Honeys will tease you with a taste of what’s to come in Providence Roller Derby’s home season when they face the Rocky Point Rollers.

The Rock n' Roll Half-Marathon is this Sunday morning in Providence. The race will begin on Gaspee street in front of the State House and continue to the finish line on Francis Street downtown. Enjoy live music throughout the streets, including headliner Karmin, as you cheer on the participants.

The Washington County Fair is in Richmond this weekend, and other than tradition, there are plenty of reasons to check it out. Amusement rides, country concerts, tractor pulls and the farm museum are just a few activities that make this the state's biggest rural event.

Finally, down in the City by the Sea, the legendary Taj Mahal headlines the Newport Blues & BBQ Festival at the Yachting Center.
