Cranston Historical Society Celebrates

Volunteer of the Year ~ Anne Sherman

“Illustrated Talk on Stories of Fiskeville & Fiskeville Resident Interviews“

Every November, on behalf of the Cranston Historical Society at the Governor Sprague Mansion Museum, we recognize our Volunteer of the Year as well as Welcome New Members.

This year, we honor Volunteer of the Year: Anne Sherman, Cranston resident. Anne is a long-time member of the Cranston Historical Society. During the past year, Anne has worked diligently with Curator, Jim Hall, volunteering by organizing the research area, documenting research material, cataloging various documents and photographs. Anne retired working 25 yrs. as office manager at the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association in Providence. She also helped researchers, including colleges & universities, and genealogists find related documents in the Association’s archives.
