Spring Into Brunch Season

Posted

Springtime and brunch just seem to go together. Maybe it’s because everyone is itching to get out of the house, or maybe because Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Either way, we’ve got plenty of seriously tasty options.

By the Ocean

For a brunch that’s more seafood focused, head to George’s of Galilee. Think Fried Oysters and Chorizo Hash, Lobster Omelets and a raw bar. Oh, and don’t forget to look up every so often: you’re sure to catch glimpses of the Block Island Ferry as it makes its way through the channel. 250 Sand Hill Cove Road, Galilee. 783-2306

If starting your Sunday morning with views of the ocean is on your list, the Ocean Mist in Matunuck is where it’s at. Plus, from 9am-2pm, when you order from the Dawn Patrol Specials, the first Bloody Mary or Mimosa is just three bucks. 895 Matunuck Beach Road, Wakefield. 782-3740

For a completely indulgent brunch experience, the Sunday Jazz Brunch and the Ocean House in Westerly is a must. There’s an extensive raw bar, meats and cheeses, and scrumptious breakfast and lunch options all to be enjoyed with the smooth jazz, blues and soul music of Greg Piccolo. 1 Bluff Avenue, Watch Hill. 855-678-0364

It’s hard to describe just how magical the bay views from the Coast Guard House are. It makes the lobster a little sweeter, the eggs a bit fluffier, the mimosas a touch bubblier. Inside there’s a full raw bar highlighting the bounty of the area, plenty of seafood scrambles and sandwiches, and chowders and hashes to round out the meal. 40 Ocean Road, Narragansett. 789-0700
