All Weekend: How do you make the Newport Mansions even fancier? Add wining and dining, courtesy of celebrity chefs. The Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival is one delicious weekend, featuring events like the Grand Tasting on the lawn of Marble House, the Wine & Rosecliff Gala and the Newport After Dark party at The Elms - plus lots of delicious food, cooking demos and all the wine tasting you can handle.

All Weekend: Experience art in a new way at the opening of the Wickford Art Association’s Fifth Annual Poetry and Art Exhibit, a multimedia exhibit featuring contemporary art and responsive poetry.

Friday and Saturday: After a hiatus, StyleWeek Northeast is coming back with a bang: four nights of four or more runway shows at the Convention Center, plus shopping at the Accessory Showcase, interactive fashion and wellness experiences and, finally, food to go with your cocktails.


September 22: “Belong to the night” when Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo play at East Providence’s Bold Point Park. The waterfront concert starts at 6pm, and will have food trucks and a full bar on site.

September 23: Celebrate Cranberry Thanksgiving at the Tomaquag Museum in Exeter. The celebration of indigenous cultures includes storytelling, music and dance, Native art and more.

September 23: The Ocean State Oyster Festival returns to Providence's Riverwalk for a third year of everyone's favorite bivalve. Sample some of the tastiest oysters being raised right here in Rhode Island, and even try your hand at the fan favorite shucking competition.

September 23: Get insider access at the Doors Open RI Festival, when more than 20 interesting private spaces allow visitors for one day only - like Brown’s Ladd Observatory, RISD’s curiosity-filled Nature Lab, Barnaby Castle and the Benefit Street Arsenal.
