Taste Test

Every Day's Taco Tuesday

Posted

The tacos at Providence’s Tortilla Flats are packed to the brim with flavorful, juicy ground beef, lettuce and cheese. With a choice of soft or crunchy hard-shelled tacos, spicy sauces, sour cream, beans, tomatoes and other delicious ingredients, there are lots of tasty options.

Oceanside at the Pier in Narragansett is known for its seafood, and these tacos don’t disappoint. The grilled tortilla shells house beer-battered morsels of cod, served on a bed of house-made salsa and avocado, and finished with a generous dollop of sour cream.

Nacho Mamma’s in Bristol serves a shredded chicken taco filled with pickled red onions, diced tomatoes, sweet chopped mango, roasted red peppers and piquant cilantro. It’s a delicious example of their unique West Coast/Miami fusion food.

These Grilled Fish Tacos from Bridge in Westerly hold pieces of succulent grilled swordfish topped with cabbage, pico de gallo and guacamole in a flour tortilla. The chipotle aioli brings everything together with just the right amount of spice.

Paco’s Tacos
started as a food truck, but now has two trucks and a restaurant in Cranston. The crunch of their crispy taco holds up, even against beef, lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo and cotija cheese. Make sure to try the heavenly fried poblano rings on the side.

These whopping Baja Fish Tacos from BLU on the Water in East Greenwich are nestled in white corn tortillas and stuffed with mahi-mahi. The mango salsa beautifully complements the Sriracha chili sauce and cheddar jack blend.
