Sake to Me

The Coast Guard House presents a six-course sake dinner

Posted

There are wine dinners, beer dinners, scotch tastings, whiskey tastings, rum flights… you get the point. But have you heard of a Sake Dinner? That’s right. Sakes are just as varied and nuanced as other spirits, and the Coast Guard House is featuring a special five-course dinner with – you guessed it – sake pairings on December 11 at 6:30pm.

Special guest Marina Giordano will be on hand to enlighten diners on the various sakes that will be paired with their meal – she holds multiple food and beverage certifications including two from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust as a Certified Sake Educator and diploma candidate, and one from the Sake Education Council as an Advanced Sake Professional. Long story short, Marina knows sake.

Guests can look forward to food pairings such as fried oysters with chanterelle custard, Korean-style barbecue pork loin with bok choy and a pear raisin sauce, and angel food cake with lavender-scented zabaglione – to name a few. $68 per person. 40 Ocean Road, Narragansett. 789-0700
