About the Restaurant
Two delicious destinations under one roof. Phil’s is located in the heart of Wakefield Village, where you can be sure your food is freshly prepared. Their regular customers have sworn by their varied selection of appetizers, salads, entrees, sandwiches and specialty offerings for years now.  From vegan dishes to prime rib of beef served with a huge popover, every dish is a healthy portion and prepared to perfection.  Phil’s claim to fame is serving “the best Fish N' Chips in Southern Rhody” and their breakfast and lunch menu has won Best of Rhode Island.

The Diner
The first floor of Phil’s Main Street Grille is a diner, serving breakfast and lunch every day, starting at 6:30am. The diner serves breakfast classics, like omelets (try the Mediterranean Omelet, with roasted red peppers, spinach, feta and Bernaise sauce), Breakfast Burrito (a flour tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs, Monterey jack and cheddar, seasoned black beans, avocado and tomatoes, topped with salsa fresca and chipotle sour cream) Texas French toast, pancakes and Belgian waffles with fruit or chocolate chips on top. Their famous seasoned hand-cut homefries are unmissable. For lunch, enjoy a burger, club sandwich or PHIL’S Philly cheese steak. There’s even a $2.75 early bird special if you make it into the restaurant before 8am.

The Loft
Upstairs in the loft, brunch starts at 10am on weekdays, and 8am on weekends. Your first order of business should be a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa. From there, choose from creative morning eats like Salmon and Eggs (roasted salmon topped with basil pesto and panko crumbs, served with two eggs and homefries) or Chicken Rancheros (warm corn tortilla cups filled with cheese, seasoned black beans, lettuce, salsa fresca and cajun grilled chicken breast, topped with PHIL’S ranchero sauce). For lunch, try the California Chicken Wrap, with cheddar, tomato, alfalfa sprouts, avocado and garlic herb aioli; or the Cowboy Burger, with barbecue sauce, cheddar, bacon and onion rings on top.

For dinner, start things off with some seafood: Phil’s famous calamari, house-made stuffies, crab cakes or fish bites, which are Atlantic cod marinated with banana peppers, dill and lemon, lightly dusted and deep fried, then served with spicy tartar sauce. Or, try some Vegan Chili or the Roasted Beet Salad, which is red and yellow beets, baby arugula, crumbled goat cheese, applewood smoked bacon and a sherry vinaigrette. For your entree, choose from creative twists on favorite foods, like the Lobster Mac & Cheese or the Pine Nut-encrusted Haddock with white and wild rice, roasted asparagus and a roasted tomato buerre blanc. The Chicken Marsala comes with cippolini onion mashed potatoes, sauteed shiitake mushrooms, local greens, vegetable of the day and a sage tomato butter. Prime Rib with a huge popover (otherwise know as Yorkshire Pudding) is available on Friday and Saturday nights in Queen or Caveman cuts.

The Rooftop
The star of the show, though, is Phil’s Roof Top Deck, overlooking scenic Wakefield. Order breakfast, lunch or dinner up there any day of the week, or just relax at the expansive roof bar and enjoy a cocktail after dinner. They serve quite a collection of specialty drinks and draft beers.

Three Places in One:  Phil’s offers a downstairs diner for casual breakfast and lunch, an upstairs restaurant for creative brunch, lunch and dinner, and a rooftop deck serving cocktails and food overlooking downtown Wakefield.

Appreciating Local History:  The Loft Dining Room has 32 canvas prints around the room, showcasing scenes from Wakefield’s history.
