Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard will welcome John McNiff, a ranger with the National Park Service, for an educational lecture on prominent historical figure Roger Williams, best known for founding the colony of Rhode Island, on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 12:30 p.m. McNiff was born and raised in Rhode Island and has worked with the National Park Service since 1996. In addition to earning multiple degrees in anthropology and archaeology, he has worked as a consultant and subject matter expert in several films about colonial history.
