Get Down on the Farm

Explore the state and participate in the Farm Scavenger Hunt.

Posted

Get the most out of this year’s growing season with the Rhode Island Fruit Growers Association’s Farm Scavenger Hunt.

Farms and orchards from all over the state are participating in this exciting game. It’s simple – just download or pick up the map and instructions and head to a participating farm. Your map is filled with colorful photos, each of which corresponds to a different farm. Match the picture clue on your map with the farm. Once you do, the farmer will give you a signature sticker to place on the picture. Collect at least 18 stickers and mail your brochure and participant information form to the RIFGA URI Outreach Center. The first 50 correct entries win a prize package.

The fun doesn’t stop there – visit all 28 farms and become eligible to win the grand prize. The first 50 entries with all 28 stickers will win an even bigger prize pack and will be entered into the grand prize raffle drawing. It’s totally easy to get started; participating farms are as close as Baffoni’s Poultry Farm in Johnston or Morris Farm in Warwick. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore Rhode Island’s picturesque farm landscapes and pick up some fresh locally grown fruits and veggies.

Visit the website or stop by a participating farm to pick up your map and clues and start hunting.
