Through March 1: The color red evokes passion and love – and it’s the theme of the Wickford Art Association’s “Seeing Red” Exhibition. Juried by Anthony Tomaselli (read more about the T’s Restaurant owner in the November issue of Providence Monthly), this exhibit is perfect for a Valentine’s Day viewing!

February 13: Visit Hope Artiste Village this weekend for a Sip and Shop at stores like Blanc & Bleu and BABS from 5-8pm tonight for a Valentine’s Day gift to yourself, and also a warehouse sale at J Marcel throughout the weekend!

February 13: For something a little different, the production of At Home at the Zoo,” presented by the Psych Drama Company, opens at 7pm at the AS220 Black Box Theater. A post-show discussion will follow the immersive play about a couple’s faltering attempts at communicating.

February 13: Last-minute shopping for that special someone? Craftland’s Pre-V Day Soiree is here to help! Swing by for a bubbly refreshment while you browse the Valentine’s Day creations, including customizable trinkets you can bring home in time for the big day!

February 13: Take in the romantic atmosphere of Lippitt House Museum while Bank of Ireland fills the rooms with Irish tunes. The Valentine’s Concert and Wine Tasting will also highlight women performers and winery owners as part of the museum’s 19th Amendment programming. 

February 13-15: Gather in the Dining Room of Blithewold Mansion for some afternoon scones, sweets, and stories with friends during Valentine’s Tea. With seatings all weekend, start off or round out the romantic holiday with a taste of the finer things.

February 14: Enjoy a grand night out at Newport Vineyards for their Speakeasy Soiree, a swinging prohibition-style party kicking off WINEterfest Weekend. Bring your dancing shoes!

February 14: Feeling lackluster about love this year? Join Xaco Taco for their Voodoo Valentine’s event, complete with tarot card readings, a piñata (to take out some frustration), and music, all with the jilted lover at heart! 

February 14-16: The Collaborative is showing the original works of young artists at the Youth Arts Festival, presented by Lily Rhodes (the rising star musician made a splash in the January issue of The Bay). Come out for live music and to peruse textiles, crafts, and apparel available for sale.

February 14-23: The Newport Mansions Winter Festival taking place all week has tours and activities for kids and couples alike! Experience The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House, and Rosecliff and learn about their former denizens.

February 15: The improv comedy show Saturday Night Scramble promises a night of hilarity at Wage House. Feeling bold? Audience volunteers are encouraged to join in the hubbub! Bring your SO or a friend for a gut-busting fun time.

February 15-16: Clouds Hill Museum welcomes romantics at heart to view their collection of vintage wedding gowns against the backdrop of the museum’s Victorian architecture and interior. Don’t miss the opening of 100 Years of Romance to see it for yourself!

February 17: The weekend of romance may be over, but the fun doesn’t have to stop there. Skate for free at Winter Skate Break from 1-3pm at the Bank of Newport City Center with the donation of a non-perishable food item to RI Community Food Bank.
