Drink Your Apple Pie

As the saying goes, there’s nothing “as American as apple pie.” While the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag did not eat the fruit-filled dessert at the first Thanksgiving dinner back in 1621 (also skipping cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes – both of which were not invented yet), it’s been a staple on holiday tables in our country since the 18th century. That’s a lot of pie.
