Savor Every Bite at the Clean Plate

Posted

The culinary philosophy of Clean Plate is simple: owners Lauren and Susan cook what they love to eat. The menu is full of comfort foods, both from different parts of America – the South, New York and Rhode Island – and all around the globe. There are plates as diverse as a Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Greek Salad Wrap with Falafel; a Cuban Sandwich to a Reuben (or for veggies, a Reubenesque made with beets). It’s all casual, and all delicious. The menu has creative sandwiches, salads and burgers, as well as bigger entrees and platters made for sharing, like the Mediterranean “MePu” platter and the Jewish “JuPu” platter. It’s the perfect place for a group dinner: No matter who’s craving what, you’ll find it at Clean Plate.

Brunch for Days
Clean Plate’s brunch is so good, they can’t wait for just Sunday, so they serve it all weekend. The same food philosophy is there – the menu has lots of comfort food from around the world – but with the enormous life upgrades of waffles, pancakes and Benedicts. Think Scallion Waffle Grilled Cheese, with spinach, bacon and poached egg; or Raspberry Almond Frangipane French Toast; or, best of all, mini doughnuts as an appetizer.
