Café Nuovo is a delightful escape from the ordinary. True to its name, it burst upon the culinary scene in 1995, the quest of Capriccio owner Vincenzo Iemma and business partner Dimitri Kriticos, to bring a new and exciting culinary experience to the city. The confluence of their new and innovative cuisine, an emerging city renaissance and a breathtaking location with a commanding view of the city skyline along the Providence River proved to be the perfect combination. After 20 years of excellence, this groundbreaking restaurant continues to define creative dining in Providence.

Indeed, at Café Nuovo different cuisines do more than meet. They fall in love. Here a fusion of European, Asian, American regional and island flavors combine for a heavenly union of tastes borne from a seasonal harvest procured from both local gardens and far-away farms and waters. At Café Nuovo, fine art and fine food are one and the same; an ever-changing array of savory and sweet masterpieces carefully crafted of the finest ingredients, then artfully plated for an ultimate balance of flavor and presentation.

Dining indoors or al fresco, even the most average occasions become spectacular affairs in their glass-walled dining room, domed rotunda or along their Riverwalk piazza at the famed gondola landing. Elegant weddings, sophisticated receptions and high-profile fundraisers are set against its cosmopolitan downtown location for a picture-perfect event. Add tables with unmatched views of WaterFire and the Providence Riverwalk, and Café Nuovo is in a spectacular class all its own.
