3 Restaurants We're Loving in September

Delving into the dishes at Bocado, The Salt Marsh and Miku

If you've been aching to treat yourself to a delicious dinner but are tired of going to the same old spot, why not take a risk and try something new? Take a peek at what our reviewers have to say this month about three Rhode Island eateries: Providence's newest spanish-influenced tapas haven, an exciting sushi & hibachi spot in Barrington, and a brand new raw bar among the salt marshes of East Matunuck. We've done the research for you, all you have to do is choose. Feeling hungry yet?

Bocado (Providence)
"Traditionally, tapas are bar snacks to accompany drinks. In this sense, Bocado isn’t quite traditional, but the restaurant’s spaciousness and broad menu turn the tapas experience into a satisfying dinner. The long bar, open space and ample seating make this new spot especially good for large groups and after-work fetes." Read the review here...

Miku (Barrington)
"My next surprise was all the sushi on the menu, and a lot of interesting sushi at that. It was a serendipitous discovery because there is a dearth of good sushi places in the East Bay. However, I was with a relatively unadventurous crew – the type that thinks California rolls are sushi – so I would not be captaining any sushi boats on this night." Read the review here...

The Salt Marsh Pub & Raw Bar (East Matunuck)
"Fall is a great time to head to East Matunuck Beach because the water is warm enough for swimming, and the tourists have left the state, leaving us to our own magnificent coastline. After a swim or beach walk, stop into the Salt Marsh Pub & Raw Bar to enjoy a cocktail or a beer, a platter of oysters and the view of the salt marsh. It’s a perfect end to a Rhode Island beach day."
