The 43rd annual Newport Boat Show has in a variety of locations along America’s Cup Avenue: the Newport Yachting Center, Oldport Marine, Bannister's Wharf and Bowen's Wharf. The event showcases a variety of boats, boating products, and services all weekend long.

The Misquamicut Fall Fest in Westerly will kick off fall without totally dismissing summer. The festival will feature carnival rides and games, a petting zoo, a classic car show, live bands, and food vendors offering everything from ice cream to beer to BBQ.

Looking to see a show this weekend? Trinity Repertory in downtown Providence will be performing The Grapes of Wrath, a stage adaptation of Steinbeck’s classic Great Depression tale.

Bring the kids to the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence to experience the excitement of Disney on Ice. Celebrate with many of your favorite characters singing, dancing, and skating.

Enjoy a night in the grandeur of the Providence at the Performing Arts Center where the curtain goes up on the uplifting story of Evita on Friday and Saturday evenings. It’s your opportunity to see this big Broadway production on the local stage.

Breathe in the fresh autumn air at the Harvest Fair at Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol. The farm's 40th annual fair will take place Saturday and Sunday with historical activities, games and crafts for children, local vendors, and a fun Muck Boot Fashion Show. Don't forget your rubber boots.

This is not your average block party. The Providence Children's Museum Block Party is a two-day event for kids to build and play with the museum’s vast collection of building blocks and other materials. Expand your child's imagination as they create room-sized structures and shapes.

Saturday
Visit countries from all across the world without leaving Rhode Island at the 36th Annual Heritage Day Festival at the Roger Williams National Memorial in Providence. Experience culture, music, and parades from countries such as France, India, Korea, and more.

Sunday
Providence Mayor Angel Taveras hosts the last of three Cyclovia events in the city this season. The car-free event will close off a half-mile of Hope Street so that people of all ages can walk, run, bike, skate and socialize. There will be races, bike clinics and tune-ups, cooking demos and more.

The Wickford Harbour Fest and Cup Race features local food and food trucks, artisan vendors and a farmers market, a lobster raffle and a model boat demo. But the major attraction is the Cup Race Challenge: a race of toy boats along the beach.

Get some exercise and benefit a good cause while doing it. The 1st Annual Rhode Island Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech will begin at Colt State Park in Bristol.
